With the new year approaching, the prevalent word has been gloomy. "O, the Woes of 2012!" People prophesying the doom and gloom to come...the end of the world. While I do believe God is calling us to come up higher, He is also bringing judgment. That is evident. Finally, though, God speaks to His people. I think of the identical phrase used by Joel and Malachi in the Old Testament--the great and terrible day of the Lord. It reminds me of the opening to "A Tale of Two Cities" by Charles Dickens. "It was the best of times, it was the worst of times, it was the age of wisdom, it was the age of foolishness, it was the epoch of belief, it was the epoch of incredulity, it was the season of Light, it was the season of Darkness, it was the spring of hope, it was the winter of despair, we had everything before us, we had nothing before us, we were all going direct to heaven, we were all going direct the other way..."
I have had the privilege of growing up knowing and loving Bishop Larry Turner and his amazing wife, Pastor Sherra Turner of Whitwell, Tennessee. When my dad died, Bishop T left Tennessee and escorted my family back to Moultrie from Atlanta. Even though there are years between our face-to-face visits, I still feel as close to them as if I attended their services every week. Always encouraging, always wise, and forever loving. Having known them through the years, I can attest...God speaks to them. Their ministries are equally powerful and full of might and authority! Their congregation is equally loving and they are indeed indicative of the Godly attributes of their leaders.
Pastor Sherra delivered this awesome message to the congregation of Whitwell Worship Center. I would like to share it with all of you.
Amen! I leave you now with the words of the prophet, Isaiah:
“I am the Lord, who opened a way through the waters, making a dry path through the sea. But forget all that— it is nothing compared to what I am going to do. For I am about to do something new. See, I have already begun! Do you not see it? I will make a pathway through the wilderness. I will create rivers in the dry wasteland.” Isaiah 43:16, 18-19 NLT

The Lord showed me 2012 is a year of visions and revelations. A year when more things and people will be revealed as they are. Do not say it is afar off for the vision is now! A year of clarity in God's will for your lives and what God desires for you. A building onto more of what has begun in your lives. It isn't a time to be slack or give up but to run the race with more vigour and grace than ever. Some foundations will be shaken so be sure your foundation is built upon Jesus Christ and it will be positive for you. Stay close to the heart of God and you will hear the very heart beat of what God is saying to his church. Get ready to be used like never before. The Kingdom of God is come nigh to you. I am giving you my authority and power in the earth to go forth and bring Heaven on earth. Declare my Kingdom in the earth, and practice it says the Lord and watch it unfold right before your eyes. Speak it and watch says the Lord for it is I that is speaking this into your ears and it will surely come to pass in some of your lives. Amen.
